Open Wood Senryu-Zutsu (Antique Kiseru Case)

SOLD

An open design, wooden (root) kiseru pipe case in the senryu-zutsu style. The wood has a nice, deep patina.

Attached is a leather tobacco-ire (tobacco case). This is a Meji era piece. The leather tobacco pouch has a tear on the right side under the flap (see photos below), this is common however for leather of this age. This kiseru case has been sold and shipped to its happy owner, but the TOKOHAN Catalog often has kiseru pipes and cases for sale.
